Our beliefs
We hold to the historic Christian faith — Scripture is our authority, Christ is our hope, the Spirit is our power, and the local church is the family God has placed us in.

OUR ROOTS
Part of The Church of Pentecost.
PIWC Takoradi is a ministry under The Church of Pentecost — one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the world, born out of faithful missionary work in Ghana and now serving communities across the globe.
1937
Missionary work began
Pastor James McKeown arrived in the then Gold Coast to begin the work that would become The Church of Pentecost.
1962
Officially named
The Church of Pentecost was inaugurated, with its international headquarters in Accra, Ghana.

Nations reached
Today the Church is present across more than a hundred nations on every inhabited continent.
WHAT WE BELIEVE

The core convictions we hold as members of The Church of Pentecost — the foundation of everything we teach, sing, and live.

The Holy Scriptures
The Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and conduct.

The One True God
There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Man and the Fall
Man was created in God's image but fell through sin, and so stands in need of salvation.

Repentance
God commands all people to repent; genuine repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.

Salvation in Christ
We are saved by grace through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone.

Water Baptism
Believers are baptised in water by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask, with speaking in tongues as the initial evidence.

The Lord's Supper
We observe Holy Communion in remembrance of the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sanctification & Holiness
Believers are called to a holy life, set apart and growing in the likeness of Christ.

Divine Healing
Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and available to believers today.

Tithes & Offerings
We honour God with our tithes and offerings for the support and advancement of His work.

The Second Coming
Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, and the righteous and the wicked will face eternity.
