THE KING IS COMING: HOW PREPARED ARE YOU?

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour." — Matthew 25:13
Introduction
Throughout Scripture, one truth remains certain: Jesus Christ is coming again.
The question is no longer whether He will come, but whether we will be ready when He comes.
Many people prepare for careers, marriages, businesses, and retirement, yet neglect preparation for eternity. The greatest event in human history will be the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1. THE KING'S RETURN IS CERTAIN

Jesus did not say, "I may come."
Jesus declared, "I am coming quickly."
Every promise of God has been fulfilled.
Since God's promises never fail, Christ's return will surely happen.

2. EXPECTATION ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH

Yet only five entered.
The Difference?
Not appearance.
Not association.
Not attendance.
The difference was preparation.

Being in church does not automatically qualify one for heaven.

3. DELAY TESTS READINESS

7. CHARACTERISTICS OF A READY BELIEVER
a) Always Watching
A ready believer:
Remains alert
Is spiritually awake
Discerns the times
Is sensitive to the Holy Spirit
b) Keeps the Lamp Burning
Spiritual fire requires fuel:
Prayer
Worship
Fellowship
God's Word
Without fuel, the fire dies.
c) Lives with Expectancy
A ready believer expects Christ's return at any moment.
d) Remains Faithful
Faithfulness is maintained until the very end.
8. A PERSONAL READINESS CHECKLIST
Imagine receiving a message that Jesus will return tonight at midnight.
Ask yourself:
✓ Are there relationships I need to reconcile?
✓ Is there any sin I need to confess?
✓ Is there someone I need to forgive?
✓ Are there loved ones I need to share Christ with?
✓ Am I living in a way that pleases God?
9. THE GREATEST TRAGEDY
The greatest tragedy is not:
Financial loss
Failure in life
Disappointment
The greatest tragedy is hearing:
"I do not know you."
Reflection
The goal is not merely to attend church.
The goal is to hear:
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
Conclusion
The signs of Christ's return are all around us.
The Bridegroom is approaching.
The trumpet is nearer than ever before.
The question is not:
"Is the King coming?"
The question is:
"Am I ready?"
